Projects

The Hampstead Neighbourhood Forum began several new projects in 2021. It is also continuing activities that have been under way for some years.

We have launched a project to measure air quality.

We set up a study group to consider the future of Hampstead’s two commercial centres, Hampstead Village and South End Green.

Earlier, we successfully applied for the registration of several Hampstead pubs and other assets as Assets of Community Value (ACV), giving them some protection from being converted to other uses.

For several years we assisted councillors to make decisions on projects that could receive funds from the Community Infrastructure Levy, a tax on developers. A quarter of the tax’s proceeds are allocated to projects in individual wards selected by local councillors. More than £800,000 has been allocated to projects in Hampstead Town ward, and there are currently no further funds available to be spent.
