One of the biggest events of Hampstead's year, the Christmas Festival, is taking place today, Sunday 23rd November. The High Street is being taken over by live music, Santa's grotto, reindeer, many food and gift stalls, and lots of other entertainment. The NW3 Business Association, which puts on the festival, says 40,000 people came last year. The Christmas lights will be turned on at 5pm. You can find all the details and the timetable here.
