Forum opposes removal of zebra crossing on Hampstead High Street

The Hampstead Neighbourhood Forum has submitted an extensive response to the Borough of Camden's proposals for traffic changes on Hampstead High Street. In particular, the Forum strongly opposes removal of the zebra crossing between Boots and Gail's. You can read the Forum's response here.

The Forum does support some of Camden's proposals. It backs parking restrictions lower down the High Street in order to resolve a bottleneck that slows buses. The Forum document also supports the widening of pavements on the junction of Heath Street and Hampstead High Street. But it expresses reservations about some other proposals.
